Born out of a long planning battle, as a residents group we seek to strengthen protections for the land, and to maintain and care for it.
Our 14 acres of natural, wild and open Green Belt land stretches down to the polluted and noisy Five Ways Corner road junction, it provides a much needed respite for local residents – to walk dogs, take a stroll and be at one with nature.
The abundance of green soaks up the noise, and pollution … to walk the fields you would not know the thunder of traffic that exists over the roofs and tree tops just beyond.
Residents adjacent to, facing, or backing the site, those exposed to the brutalist architecture of the 1970s M1 Flyover slip … wanted to form a more focused local voice.

‘Despite its location by the A1 main road, this site has a surprisingly rural quality. This stems partly from its old hedgerows dating from the area’s agricultural past’
‘ In the northern field, a small plot of native woodland has been planted by Watling Chase Community Forest.’
